Why I'm still here Honestly, there are some days I wouldn’t have an answer for you. I can see that God has taught me a lot here and that a lot of good has come of it.
I came here because I wanted to spend a consecrated season seeking God. I had just graduated from Bethany College of Missions, but didn’t feel qualified or ready spiritually speaking to head out to the mission field. I saw IHOP as a place where I could spend hours in prayer, with the support of a community of like-minded young adults and good biblical teaching. In other words, it was a good choice for that aimless season of life known as your early twenties.
So much time in prayer and so much good teaching provided a perfect backdrop for me to learn and discover who I am, what gifts God has given me, and what I am called to be and do. As much as I really didn’t enjoy some of the jobs I’ve had here at IHOP, I’m grateful for the invaluable knowledge and wisdom gained from every season.
At this point, it boils down to faithfulness. I'm learning faithfulness. Unless or until God makes it clear that this door is closing and another will open, I am sticking to my guns.
